Former Asante Kotoko striker Frank Osei has urged the Porcupine Warriors to go all out for goals when they face Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) on Sunday in Accra, stressing that avoiding conceding at home is key to progressing.
"The win also shouldn't be one or two even if it becomes 1-2 in their country it will be hard because we know how the North Africans are. Kotoko should win but they have to win with more goals at least if we get three four goals but we shouldn't concede any goal at home that is the most important thing," he told Peace FM as monitored by Ghanasoccernet.com
"We shouldn't concede any goal at home so what I will tell my junior brothers is that they should be very determined this time around it is very tough but they should work very hard so that at home we beat them with more goals. If we score more goals at least if we go away and anything happens we can survive,"
Kotoko will play Wydad on Sunday, October 19, at the Accra Sports Stadium after CAF declined to approve the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Tickets for the highly anticipated match are priced at GHS 50 for the Popular Stand and Centre Line, and GHS 200 for VIP seats. Kotoko remain unbeaten this season after defeating Kwara United 5â3 on aggregate, but Wydad’s pedigree will be a major challenge.
