Former Asante Kotoko player Frimpong Manso believes the Porcupine Warriors will perform well against Wydad despite having to play in Accra instead of Kumasi.
"Last year they played in Accra so now they are getting use to the pitch so if we didn't get Kumasi and we get Accra I don't think the effect will be plenty. If it is at home the support will be bigger than Accra if you play in Accra and score four goals it means you have to do something about your defense. So Accra Sports Stadium has not been bad for Kotoko," he told Peace FM as monitored by Ghanasoccernet.com.
Kotoko will play Wydad on Sunday, October 19, at the Accra Sports Stadium after CAF declined to approve the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Tickets for the highly anticipated match are priced at GHS 50 for the Popular Stand and Centre Line, and GHS 200 for VIP seats. Kotoko remain unbeaten this season after defeating Kwara United 5â3 on aggregate, but Wydad’s pedigree will be a major challenge.
