Asante Kotoko’s Communications Officer, Sarfo Duku, has hailed GTV’s decision to broadcast the club’s crucial CAF Champions League clash against Wydad Athletic Club live to the nation.
"First of all let me commend the management of GTV for their bold decision and that business mentality having the nation at heart to telecast the match live for most of Ghanaians who wont get the opportunity to come to the stadium on Sunday to watch the match," he told Peace FM as monitored by Ghanasoccernet.com
"We highly commend management for that and we pray that it doesn't end here let us build that relationship so that in our subsequent matches be it Africa or local we continue with the alliance. Yes the game is coming live from whichever angle who look at it is going to be a tough game,"
Kotoko will play Wydad on Sunday, October 19, at the Accra Sports Stadium after CAF declined to approve the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Tickets for the highly anticipated match are priced at GHS 50 for the Popular Stand and Centre Line, and GHS 200 for VIP seats. Kotoko remain unbeaten this season after defeating Kwara United 5–3 on aggregate, but Wydad’s pedigree will be a major challenge.
