VfB Stuttgart will have to make do without German-Ghanaian attacker Jamie Leweling this Saturday in their away fixture against VfL Wolfsburg.
"Jamie will not be available due to his ongoing groin issue," confirmed coach Sebastian Hoeneb at the pre-match press conference.
The versatile attacker has been dealing with muscle problems in the adductor region for over a week. These issues even forced him to leave the German national team camp ahead of schedule. However, Coach Hoeneb was optimistic that Leweling’s absence may be short-lived: "We hope to have him back by Thursday."
Stuttgart face Fenerbahce in the Europa League next Thursday, and there is hope Leweling could be part of the squad for that key encounter.
Jamie Leweling has played six games and assisted three in the 2025/26 Bundesliga. he has made two appearances in the Champions League and one appearance in the DFB-Pokal.
Leweling’s creative presence has played a role in Stuttgart's attacking output this season, and the club will be eager to welcome him back as soon as possible for the challenges ahead
