Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani says his technical team will step up efforts to improve the side’s attacking efficiency despite already putting significant work into that area.
The Phobians have made an unbeaten start to the 2025â26 Ghana Premier League season but have struggled in front of goal, scoring only twice in five matches, but yet to concede as well.
Their run includes two wins and three draws, leaving them fifth on the 18-team table.
Speaking after Hearts’ goalless draw with Kpando Heart of Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium, Dramani admitted that his team’s lack of goals is a concern but emphasised that their overall progress and playing identity remain crucial.
“Every coach will be worried in this instance, but I think that the most important aspect of the game is what we are doing â that we have an identity,” Dramani said.
“To control the opponents when they have the right moments is key, so I think that it is the next phase that we need to intensify.
“We’ve been doing a lot in this regard, I don’t have to justify this but I think that it is still work in progress.”
Hearts were without goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, who was on national duty with the Black Stars in Ghana’s 1-0 victory over Comoros â a result that secured qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
