The Minister of Youth and Sports, Kofi Adams, has revealed plans to establish a unified Management Committee to supervise all national football teams in Ghana.
Currently, each national team operates with its own Management Committee, a structure that has faced growing criticism from fans and pundits who argue it leads to duplication of roles and inefficiency.
Speaking in an interview with Asempa FM following the Black Stars’ qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, secured with a narrow 1-0 win over Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium, Mr Adams said Ghana could learn from other countries that use a single committee to coordinate all national team affairs.
"Elsewhere, it is only one Management Committee for national teams, but going into the future, I believe that we can exploit that so that we will have one Management Committee for the various national teams," he said.
The Minister also confirmed that members of the current Black Stars Management Committee will be rewarded for their efforts in helping the team qualify for the World Cup.
The committee is chaired by Dr Randy Abbey, with former Black Stars captain [name not provided in story] as Vice Chairman, and Moses Armah, Samuel Aboabire, and Dr Richard Nsenkyire serving as members.
