Medeama SC continued their perfect start to the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season with a commanding 4-0 victory over Vision FC at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa on Friday evening.
The Yellow and Mauves struck early through defender Kamaradini Mamudu, who broke the deadlock in the 16th minute with a precise finish. 13 minutes later, Medeama doubled their lead in fortunate fashion when Abdul Salam’s attempted cross took a wicked deflection and wrong-footed goalkeeper Aziz Kwame.
Vision, chasing their first win of the campaign, struggled to cope with Medeama’s relentless pressure and rarely threatened in attack. The visitors failed to register a single shot on target across the 90 minutes.
In the closing stages, Medeama added gloss to the scoreline. Emmanuel Owusu showed composure to evade a challenge and slot home in the 80th minute before substitute Nurudeen Abdulai broke the offside trap, rounded the goalkeeper, and calmly finished three minutes later to seal the rout.
The statistics told the story of Medeama’s dominance. The hosts produced 16 shots, with 10 on target, compared to just three from Vision. They also enjoyed eight corners to their opponents’ four, while Vision ended the match with three yellow cards in a frustrating evening.
With back-to-back wins, clean sheets, and six goals scored in two games, Medeama remain top of the table. They now shift focus to their next clash against Karela United. Vision, still searching for their first win, will look to regroup when they host Hohoe United in their next outing.
