Ilyas Ansah will once again carry Union Berlin’s attacking hopes when they face Hoffenheim at home on Saturday afternoon.
The 20-year-old has become a regular feature in the squad and his coach Steffen Baumgart is keeping faith in him despite a few ups and downs.
"The fact is that Ily has settled in well, and it's also a fact that Ily is still young and will always experience fluctuations in performance. We're pleased that he's currently fully involved. I assumeâand I'm making no secret of thisâthat he'll be playing on Saturday," Baumgart explained.
Ansah began the season in sparkling form, scoring twice on the opening weekend, which immediately brought excitement to Union fans. His performance against Borussia Dortmund was less sharp, reminding everyone that consistency is still a work in progress for such a young player.
Union’s supporters, however, are eager to see him continue developing on the pitch.
