Elmina Sharks have confirmed the reappointment of Yaw Acheampong as head coach ahead of the 2025/26 Access Bank Division One League campaign.
The club announced his return on Thursday, September 11, though the duration of his contract was not disclosed.
Acheampong, who left Legon Cities at the end of last season, makes a comeback to the coastal side he previously managed before his departure in 2021. He will be assisted by Felix Aboagye, with whom he formed a coaching partnership during his first stint at Sharks.
A statement from the club read: “Yes, the rumours are true!!! Yaw and Felix are back! We’re excited to have them on board and look forward to working together to achieve success on the pitch.”
The pair are tasked with steering Sharks to Ghana Premier League promotion after the club avoided relegation last season, finishing 11th on the final day.
Acheampong, a former AshantiGold captain, has also managed Medeama, Eleven Wonders, Inter Allies and Sharks in previous years, bringing considerable experience to the role.
