Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito says his outfit will compete for a every single trophy in the 2025/26 football campaign.
In a packed campaign, the Porcupine Warriors will compete in three major competitions following their return to Africa. Besides the Confederation Cup, the Ghanaian giants are expected to battle it out for the Ghana Premier League and Ghana FA Cup titles respectively.
As the two-time Champions League holders gear up for the Premier League opener this weekend, Zito, who joined Kotoko halfway through last season insists his side will compete for every title this season.
“The target we have set for ourselves is to fight and win the league and every other trophy we compete for” he told Akoma FM in an interview.
Asante Kotoko will open their Ghana Premier League campaign in a high-stake clash against Berekum Chelsea on Saturday, to be held at the Golden City Park.
The Porcupine Warriors struggled in the league last season, leading to the sacking of coach Prosper Narteh Ogum. However, the club has set sights on making a meaningful impact this season in an attempt to secure the league title for the first time since 2022.
