Hearts of Oak defender Ali Mohammed remains confident ahead of the club's season opener against newly-promoted side Hohoe United.
The Ghanaian giants will lock horns with Hohoe United on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first match of the 2025/26 season.
Hearts, who finished fourth last season, reinforced their squad with the signings of new players including Mohammed, who joined from Vision FC.
Mohammed will be making his competitive debut for the club on Friday after impressing during pre-season.
Ahead of the game, the former Accra Lions centre-back sent a warning to the newcomers as they prepare to travel to Accra.
"We've heard all the bragging from our opponents in Hohoe. We want them to know that their journey is long and we will make it extra far for them on Friday. They will see everything on Friday. We will teach them football. It is not about talking it is about what you do on the pitch. We are not going to brag but we will teach them a lesson," he said.
The Phobians have also recruited former Black Stars assistant coach Mas Ud Didi Dramani as their new gaffer.
