
The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed the retention of Executive Council member Gideon Fosu as Chairman of the Management Committee of the Black Princesses, Ghana’s U-20 Women’s National Team.
Mr. Fosu will be supported by Alhaji Yahaya Sadugu, Chairman of the Upper West Regional Football Association, who has been appointed Vice Chairman. John O. Yeboah and Paul Anyaba join the committee as new members, while experienced football administrator Takyi Arhin has been retained.
The announcement comes as the Black Princesses intensify preparations for their crucial 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Tunisia. The first leg will be played in Tunis on September 20, with the return leg set for September 28 in Accra.
According to the GFA, the decision to maintain and strengthen the Management Committee forms part of its strategy to provide consistent and effective support to the technical team and players as the Black Princesses push for another World Cup appearance.
The Association expressed confidence that under the leadership of Gideon Fosu and his team, the Black Princesses will receive the necessary guidance and backing to succeed in the upcoming qualifiers and future competitions.
