Clubs in the Ghana Premier League are finalising preparations for the start of the 2025/26 league season.
The new campaign will officially kick off on Friday, September 12, when giants Hearts of Oak take on newly-promoted side Hohoe United at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ahead of the league opener, the Phobians on Tuesday played a final pre-season friendly match, beating lower-division side Okwahu United 2-0.
Today, the Accra-based club has stepped up training as coach Didi Dramani applies finishing touches to his team’s preparation for the new football season.
Hohoe United, keen on a positive start to the league season, are equally geared up to stun Hearts of Oak on the opening weekend.
After the first game on Friday, two matches will be played on Saturday, where Berekum Chelsea will host Asante Kotoko at the Golden City Park.
Defending Champions Bibiani Gold Stars will welcome Bechem United at Duns Park to begin their title defense.
Sunday, September 14, will witness as many as six games, with former Champions Medeama SC, FC Samartex, and Aduana Stars, all starting the new campaign away from home.
