Berekum Chelsea head coach Samuel Boadu has targeted winning the upcoming 2025/26 Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup title.
Chelsea will get their season underway when they host Asante Kotoko in the opener of the Premier League season at the Golden City Park this weekend.
Speaking ahead of the game, Boadu acknowledged the difficulty of playing Kotoko but stressed that Chelsea are ready for the challenge.
“We know it will be a difficult game. Anytime we host Kotoko here, it turns out to be tough, but we are ready for them,” he said.
Boadu further revealed his ambitions for the campaign, noting that while a top-six finish remains the minimum target, his eyes are firmly fixed on silverware.
“My target this season is to win both the GPL title and the FA Cup. However, at the very least, we want to finish within the top six.”
The former Hearts of Oak gaffer also stressed that the FA Cup, in particular, is a priority since Chelsea have previously won the league but are yet to lift the prestigious knockout trophy.
“I seriously need the FA Cup because Chelsea have won the league before, but the FA Cup is still missing. It’s something I want us to achieve this season.”
