
Ghana international Kwasi Sibo has shared his excitement following an impressive debut for the Black Stars in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The 27-year-old bulky midfielder earned a late call up to join the Black Stars and walked straight into the starting line up as Ghana narrowly triumphed over Mali to secure maximum points at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday night.
Alexander Djiku, who recently switched from Fenerbahce to Russian giants Spartak Moscow emerged as the hero, scoring the only goal to snatch victory on home turf to strengthen their lead in Group I.

Currently, the West African powerhouse sit top of Group I, accumulating 19 points after eight matches, followed by Madagascar (16 points), Comoros (15points), Mali (12), Central Africa Republic (5), with Chad securing just a point.
Ghana will regroup in October for the final round of the 2026 World Cup qualification. The Black Stars will face Central African Republic in an away clash before hosting Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium.
