The West African Talent Hunt 2025 has already started yielding remarkable results, with two standout youngsters from the inaugural edition making waves in Europe.
Prince Amoah of MSK Zilina Africa and Nigeria’s Paskal Yadikaobi Okoronkwo, who were both scouted during the event organised by One World Sports, are currently enjoying a fruitful spell with Swedish giants Djurgardens.
Their progress underscores the mission of the West African Talent Hunt to provide a platform for emerging footballers across the sub-region to showcase their abilities and earn life-changing opportunities abroad.
The duo’s early success in Scandinavia is a source of pride for the organisers, who believe this is just the beginning of a pipeline that will connect West Africa’s raw talent with elite football structures worldwide.
“This is why we put this project together,” an official from One World Sports said.
“Prince and Paskal are only the first of many who will go on to make their mark in Europe and beyond. The goal is to continue to open doors for young players who otherwise might not have had such chances.”
Djurgardens, one of the biggest clubs in Sweden, offers a competitive environment that has historically served as a springboard for African talents into top European leagues.
Both Amoah and Okoronkwo are determined to follow in those footsteps as they continue their development.
Scouts have been urged to “watch this space” as more exciting announcements are expected in the coming months, with several other players from the 2025 edition of the Talent Hunt reportedly attracting interest from abroad.
