
Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, has given firm assurances that adequate security measures will be in place for Ghana’s World Cup qualifier against Mali on Monday.
The Black Stars will host the Eagles in their Matchday 8 encounter of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the Accra Sports Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 GMT.
Speaking to the press ahead of the crucial fixture, Mr. Ampofo Ankrah stressed that fans’ safety remains a top priority.
“The match will be a very high security game in terms of the number of Police, Military and other support services who will make sure thatâ¦.everybody are protected so you can be rest assured that you will have maximum security before, during and after the match."
The Black Stars head into the tie eager to return to winning ways following a disappointing 1-1 draw against Chad in N’Djamena on Thursday in the Matchday 7 fixture.
