
The Black Stars have departed Ghana en route to N’Djamena to face off with Chad in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Drawn in Group I of the African qualifiers for the next World Cup, Ghana currently tops the standings with 15 points after the first six games.
The next opponent, Chad, sits at the bottom of the table, having lost all their games so far.
The Black Stars are hoping to brush aside the next opponent with a big win to get closer to securing qualification to the next World Cup.
Early on Tuesday morning, 22 players took part in the second training session of the Black Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The players who trained include Antoine Semenyo, Elisha Owusu, Ibrahim Osman, Kamal Deen Sulemana, Jerry Afriyie, Joseph Anang, Christopher Bonsu Baah, Benjamin Asare, Jonas Adjetey, Ibrahim Sulemana, Jordan Ayew, and Gideon Mensah.
Abdul Salis Samed, Mohammed Salisu, Tariq Lamptey, Mohammed Kudus, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Thomas Partey, Inaki Williams, Derrick Kohn, Jerome Opoku, and Caleb Yirenkyi also took part in the training.
All the players have travelled with the technical team to Chad this evening and will finalise preparations with a last training session on Wednesday, before the game on Thursday, September 4.
