Ghanaian forward Blessing Asumang Dankwa has joined Swedish topflight side GAIS ahead of the 2026 season.
The 19-year-old signed a five-year deal to join GAIS from Accra Lions, having spent the second half of the campaign at Orebro SK.
In Sweden, Dankwah made 15 appearances for Orebro, providing an assist in the Swedish Superettan.
"Thank you, it feels great! I've been in ÃSK for six months so far, but it feels good to make this move after the season. This is my first year as a football player in Europe and it feels great to get the chance in an Allsvenskan team. It must mean I've done something good!" he said after signing the deal.
He will join his new teammates for preparations ahead of the 2026 campaign later this year.
Meanwhile, technical director of GAIS, Magnus Sköldmark, believes the 19-year-old has the potential to excel at the club following his signing.
"We are happy to introduce Blessing Asumang Dankwah to all Gaisa fans. He has exciting qualities that we have identified. It will certainly take some time for him to acclimatize in our environment, as for most players who come to us. We see strong potential in him! The fact that he already plays in Swedish football is of course an advantage," he said.
Before moving to Europe, Asumang Dankwah scored five goals and added two assists in 31 matches in the Ghana Premier League.
