Ghana U-20 coach Maxwell Konadu has paid a working visit to the Black Starlets’ training camp as the U-17 team intensifies preparations for the upcoming WAFU Zone B U-17 Championship in the Ivory Coast.
Konadu was received by Starlets coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum and his technical staff at the University of Ghana Stadium annexe. His visit formed part of the collaborative effort among Ghana’s youth national teams to ensure smooth player progression and continuity in development.
The Black Starlets stepped up preparations over the weekend with a 1â0 friendly win against Division Two side Zilina FC. Training resumed on Monday as the squad fine-tuned tactics and fitness ahead of the September tournament, which doubles as a qualifier for the 2025 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
Konadu urged discipline and focus in his address to the players, reminding them of the responsibility of representing Ghana. His presence provided a morale boost, with many Starlets hopeful of advancing to the Black Satellites in the future.
The team continues its build-up, determined to deliver a strong performance in Yamoussoukro.
