
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially released the roster of match officials for the upcoming 2025/26 Premier League campaign, confirming the referees and assistant referees who will take charge of fixtures in Ghana’s top-flight competition.
The list features 28 referees and 28 assistant referees, representing a balanced blend of experience and emerging talent. Among them are six male FIFA referees and five FIFA assistant referees, all of whom have earned recognition at the international level.
Significantly, the roster also includes four FIFA female referees and four FIFA female assistant referees, underlining the GFA’s commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity within officiating. In addition, five “Catch Them Young” referees have been named as part of a development initiative designed to groom the next generation of elite officials.
The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to begin on the weekend of September 12, 2025, and conclude on the weekend of May 23â24, 2026. This calendar has been carefully aligned with the 23rd FIFA World Cup, which will run from June 11 to July 19, 2026, ensuring that all domestic competitions conclude ahead of the global tournament.
