Black Stars defender Tariq Lamptey has shared his excitement after completing his move to Italian outfit Fiorentina.
The 24-year-old inked a four-year deal to join La Viola from English Premier League side AFC Bournemouth.
Lamptey, who started his career at Chelsea, is leaving England after spending most of his career in London. It is his first spell abroad and will be making his debut after the international break.
"Excited to be here, can’t wait to get started. Forza Viola," posted the defender on Instagram.
The England-born defender spent five years at Brighton, making 122 appearances across all competitions, including the Europa League. He scored five goals and delivered 12 assists.
"Where do I start, what a journey it’s been Brighton. I hoped it could have ended with me being able to say goodbye in person but hopefully I’ll be able to get to say a proper goodbye soon. Thank you to the club for giving me the opportunity to showcase my talent. The memories, achievements and support from you fans has been amazing!" he earlier wrote, bidding the club farewell.
"I came here to develop and grow on and off the pitch, not only have I done that but I leave with warm memories sharing the dressing room with some great teammates, the star man chant, my team crew club hawks, all the staff members behind the scenes in the club and the city as a whole. Thank you so much!"
Lamptey is expected in Accra on Monday as the Black Stars open camp ahead of the games against Chad and Mali in the World Cup qualifiers.
