Ghana international Bernard Tekpetey put up a good performance to help Ludogorets secure an emphatic 4-1 victory over KF Shkendija in the Europa League play-off.
Tekpetey, who recently recovered from a long injury lay-off made substitute appearances in the high-stake clash, held at the Huvepharma Arena on Thursday.
The former Schalke 04 star replaced Caio in the 83rd-minute mark and made a good account of himself, scoring and assisting a goal to propel the side to secure a ressoundig home win over their opponent.
Before the return fixture, Ludogorets had succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to the North Macedonia outfit.
Putting on a stellar performance in the second leg tie, the Bulgarian giants triumphed over KF Shkendija to book a place in the Europa League group stage.
Ludogorets opened the scoring after just nine minutes into the game through Edvin Kurtulus before Ivaylo Chochev doubled the lead for the host as they went to the halftime break with advantage.
After the halftime break, the visitors pulled one back through Fabrice Tamba to force extra-time in the highly competitive clash following a 3-3 draw in both legs.
However, it was Ludogorets, who prevailed in the extra-time to secure a place in the group stage of the Europa League group phase.
Tekpetey found the net in the 98th-minute before setting up Eric Bille on stoppage time to cement victory for Ludogorets.
Having regain full fitness, the former Black Stars forward will be hoping to make impact in the 2025/26 football campaign.
