Ghanaian-born winger Kofi Fosu Asare has sealed a transfer to Finnish Veikkausliiga outfit FC Inter Turku from Swedish side Landskrona BoIS, the club announced before the closure of the Finnish transfer window.
The 23-year-old attacker penned a contract with Inter that runs until the end of the 2025 season, with the Turku-based side holding the option to extend the deal until 2027.
Asare, who was born in Ghana but has represented Sweden at the youth level, developed his football through the academies of Stockholm powerhouses Hammarby IF and Djurgardens IF.
He has spent the last three years in the Swedish Superettan with Landskrona, where he became a key player. During his spell, he made 67 league appearances and scored 13 goals.
Inter Turku head coach Vesa Vasara is confident the winger’s qualities will bring an extra dimension to the team’s attacking play.
“Kofi comes straight from Sweden, where the Superettan season is in progress. He is our type of player: a good 1v1 player who can accelerate and bring a threat even by passing. Hopefully, we will have success with him for the rest of the season,” Vasara said.
Asare is expected to hit the ground running in Finland as Inter chase a strong finish to the Veikkausliiga campaign.
