The Ghana Football Association (GFA), in partnership with betPawa, will organise a Locker Room Bonus (LRB) Technical Training for team managers of Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League clubs on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Best Western Premier Hotel in Accra.
The one-day workshop forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the technical capacity of key stakeholders in Ghanaian football. The training will provide team managers with the knowledge and practical tools required to administer the Locker Room Bonus scheme within their clubs effectively.
Funded by betPawa, the Locker Room Bonus has been a defining feature of the men’s Premier League in recent seasons, rewarding players for performances immediately after matches. For the first time, the initiative will now be extended to the women’s game, with the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League set to benefit when the 2025/26 season begins in October.
Through this initiative, the GFA and betPawa reaffirm their commitment to innovation, motivation, and inclusivity, ensuring that both male and female footballers are equally recognised and rewarded for their contributions on the pitch.
