New Asante Kotoko midfielder Walid Neymar Fuseini says he thrives under pressure and is determined to make an instant impact at the club after sealing a move to Kumasi.
The 25-year-old Ghanaian completed a three-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors this week, joining on a free transfer following the collapse of his former side, Nsoatreman.
His arrival comes at a crucial moment for Kotoko, who are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of a demanding domestic and continental campaign.
Fuseini, who can operate as a central midfielder, attacking option, or wide player, believes he has the qualities to deliver for the Reds despite the weight of expectations.
“I’m eager to contribute immediately, especially with the return to Africa. The expectations are high, but I do well under pressure,” he told Kotoko media.
The versatile midfielder is no stranger to the Ghana Premier League, having clocked 81 appearances and featured in four CAF Confederation Cup matches, establishing himself as one of the competition’s more experienced campaigners.
Fuseini began his professional journey at Bolga All Stars, where he built a reputation as a technically gifted and hardworking player before moving on to Nsoatreman.
His signing is seen as a major boost for Kotoko, who continue to reinforce their squad with players capable of competing at the highest level.
