Boakye played a pivotal role by scoring and registering an assist, contributing to Saint Etienne’s 3-3 away draw against Laval.
The Ghanaian midfielder was unplayable in the match as he delivered a Man-of-Match performance in the high-stake clash.
Laval shot into the lead after just 14 minutes into the match through Malik Tchokounte before France international Irvin Cardona Leveled the scores for the visitors in the 27th-minute mark.
Boakye rose to the occasion in the 35th-minute mark, registering his name on the scoresheet to put his side in front after being set up by Aimen Moueffek.
Before the half hour mark, Malik Tchokounte registered his second goal of the match to level the scores for the home team.
After the halftime break, Boakye set up Benjamin Old to restore Saint Etienne’s lead in the 51st minute.
The visitors were cruising to victory until Ethan Clavreul found the net, just three minutes to full time to secure an important point on home turf.
