Bibiani GoldStars could meet Sierra Leone’s East End Lions or Tunisia’s US Monastir in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, should they advance past their opening hurdle.
The two sides will contest their own first-round tie in September, with the winner set to face the Ghana Premier League champions in October.
The second preliminary round will run from October 17 to 19 for the first leg, before the return fixtures between October 24 and 26.
Aggregate winners at this stage will book a place in the lucrative group phase of Africa’s premier club competition.
For GoldStars, reaching that stage will require navigating a difficult debut assignment against Algerian giants JS Kabylie in the first preliminary round.
The draw, conducted on Saturday, August 9, 2025, in Dar es Salaam, handed the Miners a formidable start to life on the continental stage.
They will host the first leg in Ghana between September 19 and 21, before travelling to Algeria for the decisive second leg from September 26 to 28.
GoldStars qualified for the Champions League after securing their maiden Ghana Premier League title on the final day of last season.
