Ghana midfielder Francis Abu says he is thrilled to begin a new chapter in his career after officially completing a four-year move to French Ligue 1 club Toulouse.
The 24-year-old joins from Belgian side Cercle Brugge, where he made 49 appearances across all competitions during the 2024-2025 season, scoring once and providing four assists.
After passing his medical and training with his new club for the first time, Abu expressed joy over the move and eagerness to bond with his new teammates.
“Want to say I’m very excited to join you guys. I’m looking forward to making new friends and new teammates and all the best for the season. Thank you,” the Right to Dream Academy graduate said.
Toulouse, who finished 10th in the French Ligue 1 last season with 11 wins, nine draws and 14 defeats, will hope Abu’s arrival adds depth and energy to their midfield ahead of the new campaign.
Abu recently featured for the Black Stars in the Unity Cup and is expected to play a key role in both club and country assignments going forward.
