Ghana international Ransford Yeboah-Königsdörffer has swiftly returned to German outfit, Hamburger SV following his failed move to OGC Nice.
The Black Stars attacker had moved closer to switching from Hamburger SV to the French outfit after both clubs agreed on a â¬7m transfer fee.
Nice wanted to conclude the signing of the forward on time to get him registered for the UEFA Champions League qualifier against SL Benfica on Wednesday.
However, Yeboah’s mandatory medical revealed an initial meniscus issue. Upon a second test, Nice opted to pull out of the deal to secure the Ghana international.
Hamburger SV appears to be in a state of shock over Yeboah’s failed move. The German outfit didn't expect such development given that the Ghanaian forward had only missed two games with muscular issues in the past three years.
Having failed to secure this move, the talented Ghanaian attacker is expected to continue his tarde with the newly promoted Bundesliga outfit next season.
The 23-year-old forward has been in the books of Hamburger SV since 2022 and has established himself as a key member of the team. Last season, the attacker netted 14 goals in the Bundesliga 2 for Hamburg.
