In a bold and transformative step for Ghanaian football, five clubs have joined TransferRoom - the world’s leading football marketplace - to elevate their player trading strategies and expand their international reach.
Ghana Premier League titleholders Bibiani Gold Stars, Medeama SC, Dreams FC, FC Samartex 1996, and Division One outfit Koforidua Semper Fi are leading the charge in linking local talent with global football markets.
This groundbreaking partnership provides these clubs with unprecedented access to over 800 clubs and 550 Trusted Agents spanning 130 leagues across the globe.
Through TransferRoom, they can present their players directly to top-level decision-makers, bypassing the traditional scouting and intermediary bottlenecks that have long restricted African footballers’ pathways to international stages.
Mark Addo, President of Koforidua Semper Fi and Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, believes this new frontier is transformative:
“TransferRoom allows us to attract other clubs and agencies to our players. It helps bridge the gap between Africa and markets like Europe, South America, and North America.”
Echoing Addo’s optimism, Dreams FC General Manager Ameenu Shardow emphasised how TransferRoom aligns with his club’s developmental model.
“It provides a direct route to foreign markets,” he said, stressing its role in their strategy to spotlight and export elite Ghanaian talent.
After a memorable campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup, Dreams are eager to translate their success into international player movement.
The results are already promising. Semper Fi have seen a surge in interest from international agents and facilitated transfers like Emmanuel Mensah’s recent move to Norway’s Sogndal IL.
“Before TransferRoom, we moved four players in three years. Now, in a few months, we've seen serious agency interest in several of our players,” Addo noted.
This initiative marks a significant evolution in Ghana’s football ecosystem, placing its clubs and players firmly on the global radar.
