Tamale hosts second free GFA Licence D Coaching Course for Colts Coaches

The Northern Region will host the second edition of the GFAs Free Licence D Coaching Course from Tuesday, July 23 to Tuesday, July 30, 2025, at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.Targeted at coaches of juvenile (colts) clubs, the week-long programme is part of the Ghana Football Associations drive to develop grassroots football by equipping coaches with modern techniques and knowledge in player development, child safety, and football education. The initiative is offered at no cost to participants.Certified CAF/GFA instructors will deliver both theoretical and practical sessions. Topics to be covered include grassroots coaching philosophy, youth tactics, injury prevention, and game management. Coaches who complete the course successfully will earn the CAF/GFA Licence D certificate, qualifying them to work at the juvenile level within the Ghanaian football system.The Northern Regional Football Association has urged all eligible clubs to take advantage of the programme, describing it as key to improving coaching standards and nurturing future football talents.This follows the success of last years inaugural edition held at the same venue.
