Ghana international Joseph Paintsil scored the consolation goal for LA Galaxy in their home defeat against Austin FC in the Major League Soccer.The Black Stars pacey winger started and played full throttle of the match as his outfit succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to their opponent at the Dignity Health Sports Park on Thursday night.The visitors, Austin FC scored in either half of the match to snatch an important away victory over LA Galaxy in the Round 23 of the American top-flight.Albania international Myrto Uzuni broke the deadlock in the 40th-minute mark after being set up by Diego Rubio as the visitors went to the half time break with the advantage.Austin FC continued their dominance in the match, with Owen Wolff grabbing the match-winner for the visitors in the highly competitive clash.However, the Ghana international converted from the spot on stoppage time to reduce the deficit for LA Galaxy.The 27-year-old has made 15 appearances in the Major League Soccer for LA Galaxy this season, scoring four goals and providing an assist in the process.Paintsil recently bagged a brace to end his goal drought in the top-flight. Having found his scoring boot, he will be hoping to maintain his form throughout the campaign.
