WAFU B U20 Boys Cup: Ghana's Ishmael Addo named Man of the Match after narrow win against Benin

Deputy captain of the Black Satellites of Ghana, Ishmael Addo, has been named Man of the Match after his teams narrow victory against Benin in their second match at the 2025 WAFU U20 Boys Cup.The midfielder and his teammates went into the game in dire need of the three points after drawing 1-1 with Nigeria in their opening Group A match.Despite playing the entire second half with 10 men, the Black Satellites held firm, with Golden Kick FC winger Bless Ege scoring the games only goal in the 52nd minute.Ege latched onto a precise through ball from captain Aziz Misbau and calmly finished to give Ghana the crucial lead.After the match, Ishmael Addo was adjudged Man of the Match in recognition of his outstanding displays.He was presented with the award by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council member, Samuel Aboabire and the executive director of WAFU B, Mr. Philippe Tchere.
