Ajax set to earn â?¬5m from Mohammed Kudus' move to Spurs
Dutch giants Ajax are set to gain financially from Mohammed Kudus' move to Tottenham Hotspurs.The 24-year-old signed a six-year deal to join the 2024/25 Europa League winners from West Ham United for a fee of 64m.Kudus joined the Hammers from Ajax for 43m and according to reports, there were an agreement for a percentage of his future move to the former Dutch champions. Ajax are expected to earn between 2.4m and 3.6m from the resale.Meanwhile, the club will also receive a solidarity contribution of approximately 1m, which will all sum up to close to 5m.The Black Stars midfielder's move ends speculation over his future after several clubs including Liverpool and Chelsea were reported to be interested in his signature.The former Ajax midfielder enjoyed a decent spell at West Ham, scoring 19 goals in 80 matches across all competitions for the Hammers.Kudus will join his new teammates this week for pre-season under the leadership of coach Thomas Frank.His first competitive assignment will be in the UEFA Super League game against European champions Paris Saint Germain.
