Mohammed Kudus explains reason for choosing Tottenham Hotspurs
Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus has disclosed the reason behind his decision to pick Tottenham Hotspurs over other suitors during the transfer window.The 24-year-old, who was on the radar of several clubs including Liverpool and Chelsea, decided to ink a long-term deal with Spurs from West Ham United.According to the versatile midfielder, he joined Spurs because of the club's history and their new manager Thomas Frank.I always wanted to play at the highest level, he said. How big the club is, the history and the Champions League as well, so it's a big moment. I'm very happy and can't wait to start, he added.From where [Frank] has come from, and seeing the amount of talent he has developed to become great players, it's a big sign as to why I waned to work under him as well, said Kudus.The Black Stars midfielder's move ends speculation over his future and this comes after joining ROOF agency.The former Ajax midfielder enjoyed a decent spell at West Ham, scoring 19 goals in 80 matches across all competitions for the Hammers.Kudus will join his new teammates this week for pre-season under the leadership of coach Thomas Frank.His first competitive assignment will be in the UEFA Super League game against European champions Paris Saint Germain.
