He stated that over the years, the MTN FA Cup has evolved into one of Ghana’s most competitive leagues, serving as a gateway for discovering young talents and supporting other impactful initiatives.
Mr. Blewet emphasized that MTN Ghana has consistently demonstrated its commitment to the development of both clubs and national teams through its corporate social responsibility.
“This is more than a sponsorship. It is an action that is deepening the bond between us and the people of Ghana, the GFA, the Ministry, and the entire sports fraternity. It is about national pride, youth empowerment, gender inclusion and building a sustainable future for football in this country,” he said.
He expressed confidence that, with the necessary support, the Black Stars like other top nations could be crowned World Cup champions in the years ahead.
The Chief Executive Officer sent heartfelt appreciation to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ghana Football Association and key stakeholders for championing a long-lasting relationship.
Mr. Kurt Edwin Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association described the sponsorship as a timely boost which would elevate the GFA’s effort in developing football.
