This prestigious award highlights the Bank’s leadership in designing impactful programs and tailored financial solutions that support the growth and resilience of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) across the country.

Over the past year, Access Bank Ghana has entered into a series of strategic partnerships that underscore its long-term dedication to the SME sector. Notably, the Bank partnered with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to increase access to finance for small businesses in Ghana, with a significant focus on empowering women entrepreneurs. Another landmark collaboration with Birmingham City University aims to advance green financing, promote responsible lending, and provide tailored support to SMEs across sectors.
Access Bank further strengthened its SME commitment by signing a new partnership agreement with global logistics leader, DHL. This latest alliance seeks to enhance trade and export capabilities for SMEs across Africa, aligning with opportunities presented under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Access Bank’s support for SMEs goes far beyond financing. The Bank has rolled out a range of high-impact initiatives including: SME Clinics and Capacity-Building Workshops in Kumasi, Tamale, and Accra, covering export readiness, digital transformation, and cashflow management. The bank has also held financial literacy programs, access-to-market platforms, and digital tools tailored to simplify operations for entrepreneurs as well as curating Bespoke SME banking products and expert advisory support.
