The Omanhene of Shama Traditional Area, Osagyefo Kwaw Fraiku IV, has underscored the need for sub-chiefs to forge ahead in unity and help identify relevant developmental challenges confronting the council.
This, he noted, will enable them to solve most of the challenges and drive development.
He explained that development is a shared responsibility and unity is essential – it fosters collaboration, shared purpose and leads to greater success and well-being for individuals and groups.
“When we are united we can leverage each other’s strengths, pool resources and achieve more. Unity also promotes a sense of belonging, minimises conflicts and creates a more positive and productive environment,” he reiterated.
Osagyefo Kwaw Fraiku IV called for unity during his first traditional council meeting, which also coincided with his birthday at Shama in the Western Region.
He noted that other kingdoms are receiving significant development due to their unity: “As Omanhene, I am committed to the upliftment of Shama and it is ultimately up to you, the chiefs and people, to come together and pursue a fair share of national resources”.
He expressed gratitude to the chiefs for joining him in celebrating his birthday and encouraged them to continue showing the love and care they have demonstrated.
The Omanhene of Shama said: “I believe that the upliftment of every community relies on the love shared today, tomorrow and in the future”.
“I will continue to seek council from you in building better management and promise to operate an open-door policy to receive suggestion and constructive criticism,” he added
