Black Stars skipper, Jordan Ayew, has reached a notable milestone, tying Wilfred Zaha’s record for the most Premier League appearances by an African player.
Both Ayew and Zaha now stand at 305 appearances. Ayew achieved this feat in Leicester City’s final match against Bournemouth.

Despite their consistency, Ayew and Zaha trail Kolo Toure, who made 353 appearances.
Fourth place is Liverpool’s talisman Mohammed Salah (301).
Ayew’s love affair with the Premier League stretches back to the 2015/16 season, where it began with Aston Villa.
Ayew is in his 10th season in the English top flight, featuring for a host of clubs, including Swansea City, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.
In his 305 games thus far, the 33-year-old has scored 42 goals and provided 25 assists.
His 67 goal involvements puts him among the top five Ghanaian players with the most goals contributions in the league, while his 305 Premier League games by an African is only bettered by Kolo Toure (352).
With Leicester City relegated, Ayew’s appearances may not increase further, while Mohamed Salah, still playing for Liverpool, is poised to surpass Ayew and potentially challenge Kolo Toure’s record.
