Evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, widely known as Nana Agradaa, has issued a bold statement amid the firestorm surrounding a monetary gift she received from Sammy Gyamfi, the Acting CEO of the Ghana Gold Board. 

Declaring her intent to shield Gyamfi from professional repercussions and deflect pressure from National Democratic Congress (NDC) members, Agradaa stated unequivocally, “I will return the $800 and film it as evidence if that’s what it’ll take for Sammy Gyamfi not to lose his job and for the NDC members to leave me alone.”

The controversy ignited after a video surfaced showing Gyamfi presenting what appeared to be US dollars to Agradaa. 

This act drew swift condemnation, particularly from the Minority in Parliament, who deemed the gesture “inappropriate” and called for Gyamfi’s immediate suspension.

Responding directly to the escalating situation in a live Instagram video, Nana Agradaa expressed deep concern that the incident could jeopardize Gyamfi’s career. 

She announced a plan not only to return the funds but to potentially increase the amount. “I will return the $800 and even double it,” she declared. 

“I will do my best to find his office, and I will go there with my camera and show it to Ghanaians that I have returned the money.”

The evangelist, who famously transitioned from a fetish priestess, emphasized that her conscience compelled her to act.

 “This is my mantle, my Bible, and my anointing oil, as a great woman of God, and I say that I will set my church on fire if I am the reason Sammy will lose his job,” Agradaa passionately stated. 

She defended Gyamfi’s actions, adding, “Because the Bible said we should do good to everybody, the Bible did not discriminate when it said that. So, if Sammy Gyamfi gives me money, he deserves to do that.”
