A fatal collision occurred around 4:00 pm on May 2 on the Kintampo-Techiman stretch, between Manso and Tanoboase.
The accident involves a fuel tanker with registration number (GT-8355-24) and a tipper truck registered (GT-5333-24).
According to eyewitnesses at the scene, the crash happened as the tanker attempted to overtake another vehicle, veering into the path of the tipper truck.
The impact of the collision resulted in three confirmed fatalities and left three others with severe injuries.
Emergency services transported the injured to Holy Family Hospital for medical attention.
Personnel from various security agencies were present at the site to manage the situation and commence investigations into the cause of the crash.
