
Former Vice President and 2024 Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has joined world leaders in grieving the death of His Holiness Pope Francis, who the Vatican confirmed passed away early Monday.
In a solemn statement posted on his official Facebook page, Dr. Bawumia conveyed his profound grief over the passing and his sincere condolences to the Catholic community in Ghana and worldwide.
Dr. Bawumia described the late Pope as a worldwide spiritual figure whose principles cut beyond national boundaries and religious boundaries, he commended his lasting legacy of peace, humility, and inclusivity.
