
Dr. Eric Oduro Osae, Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA), has officially announced his departure from the agency.
His exit was communicated through a letter dated Thursday, April 17, 2025, addressed to all stakeholders.
In the statement, Dr. Osae expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who supported, advised, and collaborated with him throughout his service at the agency.
“I want to use this opportunity to thank all of you for the support, advice, and the opportunity to be of service to God and country,” he noted.
Appointed in 2020, Dr. Osae brought extensive experience in governance, public financial management (PFM), and law to his leadership at the Internal Audit Agency.
A Chartered Accountant and a Lawyer, he worked diligently to strengthen internal audit practices within Ghana’s public sector during his tenure.
Prior to leading the IAA, Dr. Osae served as a Technical Advisor on Governance to the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) from 2017 to 2020, a role under the sponsorship of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
