Kwahu youth revel in Easter festivities

Local vendors in Kwahu are capitalizing on the bustling Easter festivities, with many operating late into the night to meet demand.

They are confident of making returns on investment before the Kwahu Easter festivities conclude on Monday April 21,2025.

Several vendors from the hospitality industry are running businesses overnight to meet demands of revelers.

Atingah is a roasted meat vendor.

” I arrive on Thursday, it rained a bit on Friday, I am very hopefully of making more sales before the Easter festivities end, ” he said.

The atmosphere in Obomeng the heart of the festivities became more vibrant as numerous youth gather on the streets.

The street carnival was in full swing, with friends and families moving from one street to the other immersing themselves in the festivities.

A first-time reveler expressed his excitement.

“It’s my first time here, I have really enjoyed the Easter, the food, drinks, people, music, everything,” he said.

Music filled the air from all directions as revelers danced in the rhythm.

The Kwahu Easter Festival, renowned for its vibrant street carnival and cultural displays continue to attract hundreds of local and international tourists.

This year’s festivities, the 20th edition is expected impact local businesses.

Meanwhile there has been heavy security presence by the both the Police Service and the military giving assurance to tourist and revelers.
