Abdul Razak Yusif has suffered a career threatening head injury

Black Starlets defender Abdul Razak Yusif is likely to be sidelined for a while after he was structured off the field following a challenge in Ghana’s 0-1 defeat against the USA in the FIFA U-17 World Cup in India.

The Black Starlets suffered a defeat against the USA on Monday in the second group A clash, with Ayo Akinola scoring the only goal of the game in the 75 minute.

Yusif went high in air with Josh Sargent in their quest to win the ball, but the latter couldn’t return after he was stretched off and was eventually rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The Black Starlets who had exhausted their substitution played the rest of the minutes with ten men.

It is likely Ghana will be without Abdul Razak Yusif who suffered a terrible injury when they face India in their final group A game
