The convicts Yakubu Yusif, the Central Regional Chairman of the GFP, Barnabas Kayese, Madam Donkor’s personal driver and Abdul Razak Shaibu, were found guilty of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
In his judgement, the presiding judgemtn Mr Aboagye Tandoh said the account of the convicts were full of half-truths and contradictions.
In one breath, the convicts said they stole the money to prevent Madam Donkor to filed a petition in the International Criminal Court against the victory of Nana Akufo-Addo.
In another breath, they claimed the founder of the GFP had not paid them for months so they stole the money defray their salary arrears.
