

Kwesi Appiah in his first call-up of players into the senior national football team of Ghana has selected seven (7) home-based players to his provisional 30-man squad
James Kwesi Appiah has named his provisional 30-man squad for the Black Stars as they prepare to face Ethiopia in the 2019 Africa Nations Cup.
The list has as many as Seven (7) players from the local league that might get the opportunity to play for the senior national team.
Appiah in his first stint failed to include more local based players in his team. For instance, only player was invited from the local scene in the person Stephen Adam of Aduana Stars.

The former Asante Kotoko skipper, however appear to be a changed man in his return to the Black Stars.
He has selected as many as seven (7) players from the local scene namely: Richard Ofori (Wa Allstars), Felix Annan (Kotoko), Joseph Addo (Aduana Stars), Daniel Darkwah (Aduana Stars, Ghana)Nicholas Opoku, Samuel Sarfo (Liberty, Ghana) (B.Chelsea, Ghana) and Winful Cobbinah (Hearts of Oak)
