

Until his appointment, Bright Acheampong was serving as Senior Executive Aide to the National Organiser and Ag. General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu.
President Nana Akufo-Addo has appointed Bright Kwabena Acheampong as Deputy Chief Executive of the National Youth Authority (NYA).
His appointment takes effect from April 18th, 2017.
Bright Acheampong graduated from the University of Ghana with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.

As a student activist, he held various political positions on campus including SRC General Assembly Member and Press Secretary-University of Ghana Parliament.
He has also attended International Youth Forums including a Seminar on Building the capacity of Non-Governmental Organizations for Developing countries, in China.

The National Youth Authority (NYA) was in 1974, and is under the supervision of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Its objective is to secure improved livelihoods for the youth, through effective implementation of the National Youth Policy, in partnership with Youth-focused groups, the donor community, Ministries, Departments, Agencies, and the media.
