Porto aim to get their Europa League campaign back on track as they welcome struggling Nice to Estadio do Dragao on Thursday, for the first ever meeting between the sides.
Porto are without victories across their last two games in the competition and will look to return to winning ways against a team that has lost all of its matches in this season’s league phase.
Porto suffered their first defeat of the campaign on matchday three, losing 2-0 to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Despite slipping out of the top eight – now 14th and one point adrift – it remains hard to imagine a side with an imperious run in 2025-26 failing to secure automatic passage to the knockouts, with Porto winning 14 of their 17 games (D2, L1) across all competitions this term.
Porto’s medical department this week announced – Jan Bednarek and Victor Froholdt – both absent in the previous match – have progressed to conditioning training and expected to be available for Thursday’s game.
On the other hand, Nice’s away form has been poor, to say the least, having lost seven of their nine games on the road this season and a similar outcome is expected here against a Porto side that has rarely faltered in the 2025-26 campaign.
